Everything. I really have no words to describe the perfection of the Old Stables room (loft? Mini-apartment?) I would happily live there forever. The room was huge, beautifully decorated in a fabulous equestrian motif (the Farrier is at the original blacksmith shop), sparkling clean, and too many amenities to list. The food is delicious and plentiful. We had the full English breakfast and it set us up for the whole day! Everyone on staff were really lovely and so kind. I wish we could’ve stayed for more than one night!

There's plenty to do that we didn't get around to.
There's plenty to do that we didn't get around to. Not much to do in the rain but we were lucky with the weather. Would have loved to go to the sealife centre but the tickets are too expensive. The beach is lovely, the family fun is great. It's everything you expect from a British seaside and more. There's not a great variety of places to eat if you want a nice meal but there's a plethora of fish and chips. Highly recommend the lifeboat fish and chip shop, all cooked fresh to order and very tasty. Next time we will spend more time at Scarborough Spa and the hills surrounding it. I have been going to Scarborough for 30+ years and never knew there was another cliff lift down there. We went up to Scarborough Market for our breakfasts, there are 2 cafes and we much preferred the one upstairs, the food was cheap, kids breakfasts were absolutely ideal for my 4 year old everything was fresh and so tasty. A cup of tea is only £1! Where can you get that nowadays?

The beach is lovely and there are loads of places to eat. it has a superb market with a cafe upstairs which was excellent for a light lunch, comfortable seating too.for those who need it there are cliff lifts as it is steep at times.
we loved everything about the property. the decor was absolutely beautiful and unique. the room was huge. amazing bathroom. every single thing we needed was there - and even things we didn’t realise we wanted like a mini fridge, milk, home made muffins, a bottle opener and toiletries. The hosts are lovely and the breakfast is very good - they will more or less make you anything you ask for. we have stayed in Scarborough probably around 20 times and this is hands down the best hotel we have stayed in. thoroughly recommend and will be back.
The single room, although small, was really well designed and had absolutely everything I needed. Very light, nice big window. Decent sized shower and good water pressure. Comfy bed with quality linen. Sky TV . Tea making facilities. Full length mirror with sockets beside it....I've been to 4* hotels that don't think of that! Really friendly staff. As female traveling alone it felt safe. All for £38..... excellent value. Will definitely be back.
We didn't have breakfast but the hotel has the best views in Scarborough especially the room we were so lucky to get with the bay window (101).
The receptionist was so professional and friendly and put us at ease and helped us with any questions we had and we didn't have to wait long to get the keys to our room.
She also helped us with the special parking ticket and we were able to park quite easily close by which was a weight off our minds.
The best of the hotel is the exterior and location, and the Victorian stair and lobby (This hotel is a hotel of two extremes). The exterior is a Scarborough landmark with the views and lift nearby leading down to the coast area - the high street is also nearby.
I would say the hotel very much trades off these glories (but then these can all be experienced without booking in).
Perfect location!! On to the seafront in no time at all!! Absolutely beautiful apartment and was ideal for a small family like us. Our little boy has multiple food allergies so eating out on holiday isn't always that simple so going for a self-catered aparthotel like this was the perfect solution. We have family in Yorkshire so will definitely be booking here again!!
As we were staying in a ground floor apartment, and not a hotel breakfast wasn’t included. We had to walk 5 minutes down the road, to a cafe for breakfast which was lush.
We liked the fact that the ground floor apartment, was a short walk from Scarborough’s open air theatre as we were attending the Tom Jones concert for the second time at that venue.
Staff were fantastic. Owner very friendly made us feel welcome. We asked to book in early they advised us they would try their best and did book us in early. Rooms specious and clean
On street parking which hotel sold us a parking permit which works out cheaper than in a 24hr car park. Breakfast which was included was very good plenty of choice
Literally the best place I’ve stayed in Scarborough.
From the point of booking to checkout everything was perfect. Every member of staff was polite and helpful and did everything to make our stay special.
The hotel itself is quirky and stylish and the bar/restaurant and lounges are exceptional!
I really cannot recommend this hotel enough!!
A very warm welcome from the hosts Zsuzsanna and Kevin. Lovely sea view from my room and my bed was so comfy. The breakfast was probably the best I've ever had in a hotel and it set me up for most of the day. Spent three nights at The Leeway and I will definitely stay there again when next in Scarborough.
Hotel is clean and tidy, room was a good size. Staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ideal location for a stay in Scarborough . Friendly bar . Drinks are relatively cheap compared to what is expected of hotels....cheaper than pub prices.
Ambience and history of the hotel and its location.
Hotel staff were excellent especially Grace who tried her utmost to resolve a problem we had with the room.
Also the ability to park at the front of the hotel was a bonus in Scarborough.
Lovely accomodation, fantastic correspndence from the owner (Tim), nothing too much trouble, great sea views, 10 mins walk into the centre of Scarborough, lovely little cafe 2 minutes walk from the hotel (Fairways) for breakfast.
The location of the hotel was excellent. And within easy walking distance of city centre and both bays. Although limited parking there was ample street parking available at minimal cost. The room was ok although a bit small
The staff was again extremely accommodating. For a small fee you can opt to park out front of the hotel. This hotel is the only hotel in the area that literally has parking right outside their hotel door. I will return!
Best hotel we have stayed in had 2 nights bed lovely and comfortable room very clean nice and quite will always book there to stay in the future wish we could have stayed for longer
Everything
Amazing place to stay, warm and huge comfy beds, fully kitted out.
Spotless clean with all you need
Great place to stay a real hidden gem in Scarborough
