Good to stay and explore Toronto and Niagra by car or Uber and only a short hop away from the airport. Breakfast had been pretty okay for an Inn, fully meeting our expectations. Room was clean and as shown on booking com. Only the close industrial neigbourhood looked a bit messy. In case you don't have a car, make sure you are okay with the shops and restaurents nearby - they are very limited but had been sufficient for us in what we regard as being in walking distance. Great staff keeping evering clean and tidy - thanks for that!

Transit is HELL but great compared to MONTREAL in the sense of paying for your fare and conserving payment for 2 hours on your phones! MONTREAL needs to get on that SHIT! No need for physical payment or proof! EVERYTHING is super far (hence the 2 hours fare conservation instead of 90 minutes in Montreal) from each other but the transit system is pretty quick and accurate in timing. Just be sure to get on the right bus or get off the right stop when taking the Streetcars or TTC. It's annoying having to take a few steps in the right directions and then taking 10 steps back! Happened to me too many times!

It was my first visit in Canada , and my first NHL game in Toronto .
The apartment is on the 48th floor, next to the Scotiabank Arena.
Toronto has a great transport system as you can take not only the subway and tram but also the train to wherever you want to go by taxi, so it was great.
What I didn't know was that Toronto has a secret life, and that's the areas under the buildings where let you walk all over downtown, unaffected by the weather. This area is full of restaurants, cafes, boutiques and other shops.
CN tower was really highly, scary but the view from there was beautiful.
Niagara Falls ohhh was beautiful and powerful.

Ate on Dupont Street - lots of casual places with character. Transit very easy to navigate. Coffee and gelato excellent at Mizzica's. Would not bother with Hockey Hall of Fame - far too corporate and NHL -oriented.

It was over 40 years between visits to Canada and my first time in Toronto, it did not dissapoint. Toronto is a big city and you are spoilt for choice with where to stay. We stayed downtown as it was close to conference venue. You will want to spend time exploring the different neighbourhoods and if you get time, I would recommend a tip down to Hamilton and to Niagra. All serviced by the clean and reliable GO trains from Union station. Cose to the city I recommend walking through Kensington Market - which is a district rather than a market. On the weekend this place is heaving. You have a pletohra of great restaurants and a people watching paradise. Closer to downtown, a walk along King and Queen streets will reward you with street art, quirky shops, some of the best vintage stores I have been in and food options galore. Can also recommend a wander through Chinatown (Between Queen St and Kensington Market. The Distillery District is worth a look if you have time. The old distillery makes for an interesting backdrop to new residental buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. The UP trains from the airport (Pearson) to the city are your best option to get into the city. Around $12 and about 25 minutes - well worth it and a lot cheaper than taxis and Uber. Enjoy!
What did we like? Everything! The staff was exceptional, catered to our every need, shuttle drivers were prompt and helpful. Perfect for staying and commuting to downtown Toronto by train. The gym facility is top notch as well as the property in general. Daily housekeeping was seamless as a lot of hotels only offer this by request due to covid. Rohan saw to our needs at breakfast and he was truly the highlight of our hospitality experience but all of the staff went above and beyond. We will be staying here whenever we visit Toronto.
My best stay in downtown Toronto! The suite was absolutely beautiful, featuring designer furniture and a super clean, pristine interior. The host was incredibly responsive and hospitable, offering unmatchable hospitality. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is unbeatable, right next to all major tourist attractions like the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, and Metro Convention Centre. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
I will definitely come back to stay here very soon. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
Hotel is very nice and comfortable, including swimming pool and gym. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also good, eggs, bacon, fruits, jogurt...just vegetables was missing. The location is very near the airport so it was easy and fast to get to Toronto Downtown (shuttle to the airport and then by train). On the other hand there was noise from the planes and the surrounding was nothing special. But this is not critics, we were aware of that, just saying.
Very nice hotel, Charming, with nice accomodations. But really far from downtown Toronto!
They say you have the possibility to rest but there is no place like a coffee salon or something to have a coffee or tea during the afternoon!
Service not so good, very long in the restaurant. High prices.
We asked to change our room because it was so dark, no light or sun comming in! Very strange !!
It had an amazing breakfast, great location, and I was I love with our room. I have never stayed in a hotel in Toronto so I’m very glad this was my first one. I was looking for a hotel in the downtown district so I could walk everywhere and this was exactly what I needed. Check in took me like 1 minute which made getting there even better. Worth every dollar. p.s. the bed was so comfy.
Just about everything. The location was excellent, the room was very very clean, the amenities were absolutely fine, the staff were great to talk to and any communication via text messages we're efficient and extremely helpful. It was a bit noisy however I understood that I was staying in a hotel in downtown Toronto so I was neither surprised nor upset by the noise.
The hotel staff were able to check us in a little earlier and we really appreciate the flexibility since we had to leave for downtown Toronto and wouldn't be back until midnight. The breakfast was conventional American type. I always love hotel breakfast and Holiday Inn doesn't disappoint. We're able to see the taxiway from our room, which is nice.
It´s an old traditional hotel of great standing in a great location downtown Toronto with all the good and bad that comes along. Classic rooms, great restaurants and great attention from staff. A a gold card member we got an upgrade during our check in and that based on attentive work from reception staff. Well done and appreciated !
Clean room and bathroom. I stayed in a king bed room with a patio, that was really cool. Room 848. Patio was the best part, it faces College Park Ice Trail. It was cool seeing people skating all night. Price is really good for downtown Toronto. Parking is easy to use, the entrance is in front of the hotel.
The hotel is in the perfect location for downtown Toronto, Chinatown and the waterfront. Street car stops right outside. Staff were really helpful and our room was ready early at 1pm when we turned up. Gorgeous rooms, huge very comfortable bed and big en suite bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer
Very well located hotel in downtown Toronto. It is close to several nice restaurants and bars and at walkable (15 min) distance to most attractions.
Hotel lobby as well as the rooftop bar have an amazing atmosphere. Service is outstanding.
Bedding linens are pure cotton comfort.
The location was good.
It's highly recommended for those people who were from far places of Canada and were just coming over Toronto to attend for their US visa interview at the US embassy.
The US embassy was just around the corner. It's 4 minutes walk from Rex Hotel.
This hotel is a hidden gem in the best location (downtown Toronto). The room had an amazing view of the lake and the city. The bed was very cozy. It was great to have a really big screen tv to watch (made the room more luxurious). We will book this place again.
Despite there being a lot of people in the lobby (I was told this was the hotel with the most rooms in Canada), it was very clean, and the check-in/out was very efficient. Staff were very friendly and rooms were great. It was reasonably priced for Toronto.
'Check-in' was a breeze, I had my room key pre-setup on my phone and just walked in and right up to my room. It felt like a cross between a traditional hotel and an airbnb. I think its pretty decent value for being very central in downtown Toronto.
The hotel is in downtown Toronto, which was what I was looking for. The room was a generous size and the bed was comfortable. The price was reasonable for the location. The staff were helpful. Storing my bag for a few hours was not a problem.
Location is a must if you want to explore downtown Toronto. Lots of options for food and drink nearby. The hotel has parking spaces. Clean and spacious room. Stunning view of Lake Ontario.
Loved the location for seeing downtown toronto. It's not a fancy hotel but it's a nice college dorm room with fridge and microwave and separate bedrooms. Was exactly what we needed.
Hotels in Toronto are expensive and the Alexandra used to be pretty reasonable. Now it is quite over priced for bare bones accommodation. It is in a good location for downtown.
